Yamaha Motor first half sales up 16.2%

Japanese carmaker Yamaha Motor Co reported first half net sales of ¥1,068.9 billion ($8.04 billion), an increase of 16.2% compared with the same period of the previous fiscal year. Ordinary income was ¥115.4 billion, an increase of ¥0.4 billion or 0.3%, and net income attributable to owners of parent was ¥83.0 billion, a decrease of ¥10.1 billion or 10.8%.
