Tequila’s seedy, shot-slamming image is gradually fading away – it’s to be enjoyed slowly, to be appreciated, not simply downed. Recent figures by Allied Market Research suggest tequila has generated more than$8bn over the last twelve months and is set to rise to $24.10bn by 2031. Tequila sales have grown 70 per cent since last year and it’s in the ascendancy compared to other raw spirits.
