Drivers who felt the need to live their NASCAR fantasy on New Jersey streets and highways were less likely to receive a speeding ticket in 2020 and 2021 than any time during the past five years. The decline in ticket numbers led state safety officials to call for more enforcement to combat rising traffic fatality numbers.
