Alabama’s 2019 season is on the line this weekend, and the Crimson Tide seemingly can’t afford to loss to No. 2 LSU in Tuscaloosa on Saturday night if they hope to return to the College Football Playoff. Heisman favorite Joe Burrow and the undefeated Tigers have looked phenomenal so far this year, but according to Stephen A. Smith, the return of Tua Tagovailoa will make the difference for No. 3 Alabama.

On Friday’s episode of First Take, Smith – who visited Alabama earlier this year to speak with players – delivered a fiery speech to motivate the Crimson Tide.

“Did you remember how Clemson rolled over you in the national title game? Beat you down 44-16. Beat you like you stole something. Did that hurt? Was that misery still there? The answer was yes.

You had to make up for this, you’ve been doing so all year long. You finish the damn job. You want to go back and get a championship? You can’t let LSU get in your way. TAKE. THEM. OUT. And that’s exactly what Alabama will do tomorrow.”
