Those long heat waves and steamy humid days are finally behind us, but they turned the summer of 2022 into one of the hottest ones on record in New Jersey, according to data from the office of New Jersey State Climatologist David Robinson at Rutgers University. The data shows this was the state’s third hottest summer and the sixth driest summersince detailed records began in 1895.
