Bayern Munich chairman Oliver Kahn on Thursday warned football clubs not to be completely taken over by investors and said that his club would never follow this trend. “We are at the moment experiencing the most fundamental change that football has ever experienced,” Kahn told Bayern’s members’ assembly. “That’s why we are fighting on the forefront that it can not be that investors pump unlimited funds into clubs.” Big clubs like Paris Saint-Germain and many English clubs are controlled by investors, and Newcastle United were recently controversially taken over by a Saudi-led group.
