As students head to campus, two universities require COVID vaccines

In an e-mail survey of the state’s colleges and universities, Rutgers and Montclair State are requiring vaccines, while other schools are recommending them. Although the pandemic-related public health emergency ended in May, COVID-related hospitalizations increased 14.3% in the U.S. last week in July, the most recent in which data was recorded, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
